Palana comes to ACLU of New Hampshire fresh out of a role as volunteer leader with Freedom New Hampshire, the successful 2018 campaign to pass comprehensive gender identity protections in NH. She could not be more ecstatic to continue building leadership within the transgender population of New Hampshire in the role of Trans Justice Organizer at the ACLU of New Hampshire.
Prior to her jump into full time advocacy and organizing, Palana was the manager of Teatotaller, a New Hampshire café that stirred nationwide LGBTQ conversation with their viral billboards, teen drag nights, and Kate Bush flash mobs.
Palana was born and raised on Cape Cod, spent many years in Boston, and now proudly calls Seacoast New Hampshire home with her fiancé, Cora, and their pups, Maebyl and Basagna. In her spare time, you’ll find her playing music, practicing yoga, or taking a nap.
