CONCORD –  The ACLU of New Hampshire is bolstering its programmatic resources to defend women’s rights to the full range of reproductive health care services with the launch of its Reproductive Rights Initiative.  This initiative is made possible by a donation from NARAL Pro-Choice New Hampshire, which permanently discontinued its operations in July.  These additional resources will be used to support the Reproductive Rights Initiative, which is an enhancement of ACLU of NH’s existing legislative, legal and grassroots efforts to protect women’s reproductive rights, including abortion health services.

Earlier this year, NARAL Pro-Choice NH’s board decided after months of deliberation to dissolve the New Hampshire affiliate due to persistent financial challenges. Speaking on behalf of the NARAL NH board, former chair Susan Arnold stated “We are confident in the leadership and expertise of ACLU of NH’s Reproductive Rights Initiative and hope our friends and supporters will continue their commitment to defend reproductive rights in New Hampshire.”
