This morning the New Hampshire House of Representatives voted down a bill to legalize police use of license plate readers in our state (HB 675) by a vote of 97-250. License plate readers have been used in other states throughout the country to collect and store a treasure trove of detailed data about the daily travels of innocent people. After today's vote, New Hampshire will continue to have the strongest privacy restrictions on license plate reader use in the country.
