INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW
The American Civil Liberties Union of New Hampshire (ACLU-NH) is seeking applicants for the position of Policy Intern. We are pleased to offer internships to interested law school and graduate school students for the summer of 2026 interested in advancing civil liberties in New Hampshire.
ACLU-NH advances liberty and justice in the courts, in the legislature, and in communities. Our work is rooted in belief in a future where everyone in the Granite State, particularly those who have been historically and systematically denied enjoyment of promised civil rights and liberties, are free to do so without barriers. We are seeking interns interested in defending and advancing these fundamental rights and core values.
The Policy Intern will work to advance our policy agenda across a variety of civil rights and civil liberties issues. The intern may attend internal and external meetings with staff, legislators, and partners, conduct policy or legal research, analyze the impacts of existing laws and policy, create educational and policy materials, and assist in the preparation of testimony or other advocacy documents ahead of next year’s legislative session.
